" The Bothy is an amazing and chramfull place to stay. Escape from crowdy big city life is always the best decision. The Bothy is clean and beautiful. Fire place made our evenings cosy and warm after all day windy walks around Anglesey. We had our Oliver (cat) with us, and he loved it, too. I highly recommend this place. "

How do I get to the Y Glyn Estate?

The easiest way to find the exact location is by using What3Words. Please enter the following into the What3Words app or website:https://w3w.co/warping.neckline.sudden

The cabins are located on Y Glyn Estate, at the following address:

  • Y Glyn, Penmynydd Road, Llangefni, LL77 7SG

As you drive along Penmynydd Road, look out for the entrance to Y Glyn. There is a sign written Y GLYN  at the driveway, and you’ll see a cottage set close to the road. Directly opposite the entrance, on the other side of the road, you’ll notice a polytunnel – this is a good landmark that you’re in the right place.

Turn into the driveway and continue until you reach the car park.

If you need directions, have a critical emergency, or need immediate assistance, please message us via your booking platform or drop an email to admin@nookandkeyescapes.com

Where are the properties located within the Y Glyn Estate?

All properties are set within the Y Glyn Estate and are accessed on foot from the main car park:

  • The Writer’s Cottage is located on the same level as the car park, making it the most easily accessible property on arrival.
  • The Bothy is situated at the top of a hill, to the left as you walk up from the car park.
  • The Mirrored Cabins are located beyond the Bothy. From the top of the hill, continue along the path past the Bothy to reach the cabin area.

Please note that both the Bothy and the mirrored cabins require walking up a incline hill — a little effort on arrival, but rewarded with peace, privacy and elevated views.

Are children or additional guests permitted in the Bothy and the mirrored cabins?
The mirrored cabins are designed exclusively for two adults and do not accommodate children or babies.

The Bothy is also set up for two guests; however, we can provide a travel cot for one child up to 2 years old upon request. Please note that the Bothy does not accommodate additional adult guests.

Are your properties pet-friendly?

Yes — all of our properties are pet-friendly, and we’re happy to welcome one well-behaved dog per stay. A £35 pet fee applies to cover additional cleaning and care. To help us protect these thoughtfully designed spaces and the wider estate, we kindly ask that:

  • Dogs are kept on a lead at all times when outside on the premises
  • Dogs are not left unattended in the property
  • Dogs are kept off beds and soft furnishings
  • Owners clean up after their dog at all times
  • Any damage or excessive cleaning required will be charged accordingly

Thank you for helping us maintain a calm, comfortable environment for all guests — two- and four-legged alike

What are the differences between the properties?

All of our properties are designed with the same attention to design, comfort, privacy and connection to the landscape. The key differences come down to capacity and amenities:

Mirrored Cabins (Palôd, Mulfran, Morlo, Gwiwer and Cranc)

  • Designed for two guests
  • Some cabins include a private wood-fired hot tub and access to a shared sauna (Morlo, Mulfran and Cranc)
  • Some cabins include a private sauna and a plunge pool (Palôd and Gwiwer)

The Writer’s Cottage

  • Sleeps up to 8 guests
  • Includes an electric hot tub, barbecue and fire pit
  • Guests also have access to a shared sauna, which can be booked during your stay (details provided after booking)

The Bothy

  • Ideal for two guests or solo travellers
  • Includes a barbecue and fire pit
  • Access to the shared sauna

What is provided in the mirrored cabins?

  • Kitchen area including small fridge (no freezer), toaster, kettle, coffee machine, induction hob, pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, mugs, corkscrew, plates and bowls
  • Charcoal BBQ outside each house including charcoal, matches and utensils
  • Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil and a bottle of water
  • Shower, loo, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, towels, bath mat, bath robes, hairdryer. We do not provide slippers or flip flops so please bring them with you if you would like them
  • One king sized bed per house with bedding, bed linen and a spare blanket
  • Underfloor heating adjusted using thermostat in the wardrobe by your bed and air conditioning operated using a remote control
  • Wifi

Can I cook in my cabin?

Guests can cook using the single induction hob inside the cabin or the bbq outside.

Where do I find the shared sauna?

The shared sauna is located at the entrance to the mirrored cabin area. It is the first mirrored building on the right as you enter the cabin area. All cabins are located beyond the sauna, further along the path. Please note the walk includes a steep hill — but it’s worth it.

  • From The Writer’s Cottage:
Walk up the hill, pass The Bothy, and continue along the path behind it into the cabin area. As you enter the cabin area, the sauna will be the first mirrored building on your right.
  • From The Bothy:
The Bothy is already at the top of the hill. Simply follow the path behind the Bothy into the cabin area. The sauna will be the first mirrored building on your right as you enter.
  • From the Mirrored Cabins:
The sauna is located at the start of the cabin area. From your cabin, walk back towards the entrance of the cabin area — the sauna will be the last mirrored building you reach, on your left.
