Lapwing sits among the trees at The Hide, a small group of off-grid cabins on the outskirts of Market Drayton in rural Shropshire, a short walk from the town and close to the River Tern. Raised on stilts into the slope and clad in dark and olive timber, it looks out across open meadow and mature oaks.
Inside, every wall and ceiling is lined in pale birch, which catches the daylight and holds the warmth of the fire.
